Around the United States, the supply of donor hearts continues to diminish each year. So becoming an organ donor now is more important than ever. Donating an organ to save the life of another is one of the greatest gifts you can give.
How do I become a donor?
To become a donor in Indiana, you can learn more and register at DonateLifeIndiana.org, or visit the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization online. You can also indicate your wish to become an organ donor when you renew your driver’s license at the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. If you’re an organ transplant candidate, learn more about the national transplant waiting list.
Awards and Approvals
St.Vincent Transplant Services’ heart transplant program is approved by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) after demonstrating compliance with all of the rigid standards of excellence required for heart transplantation. We’re also the proud recipient of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Medal of Honor for four consecutive years.
